Find out how easy it is to Live Green! Our Green Expo will walk visitors through the products, services, and technology available to help you live a more eco-conscious lifestyle. Attendees will learn about the everyday applications and benefits of living “green.” The Green Expo will showcase displays and educational experiences about the green options for energy, cleaning, building, transportation, nutrition, personal care and how to get involved in support of your local sustainability movement.
Engage Green! Workshops
Throughout the day visitors can listen in on the fascinating workshops presented by Team Green Adventures and Community Food Advocates. Team Green Adventures will be hosting a series of their Engage Green workshops including Green Proofing Your Home, Rain Barrel Demonstrations, Natural Beauty Skin Care and much more! Community Food Advocates will be hosting a series of local food and farming workshops including cooking demonstrations by local chefs and workshops highlighting the importance of eating locally and seasonally. Shop Green! Marketplace
Nashville’s one stop earth friendly shop, The Green Wagon is sponsoring a green marketplace where you can shop local products and meet the producers who made them. This area will feature environmentally-friendly items such as locally-made clothing, organic products, locally-made food, daily-use consumables, and other green items. The Green Wagon aims to filter out green washing while seeking a good mix of eco-friendly vendors.
Indoor Air Quality
Gail Bost and the American Lung Association will be discussing Indoor Air Quality, busting some myths about how to keep your indoor air clean and green. The American Lung Association will have a booth from 5pm-10pm for information on Indoor Air Quality and more.

Electric Vehicles
James and NoGas Scooter will be discussing the electric vehicle industry, how to use, maintain and “fuel up” a no-gas vehicle. NoGas Scooter will have a booth from 12-10 pm to help you get on the road in a stylish zero-emissions vehicle.

Italian Cooking from the Garden
What to do with the beautiful bounty from the vegetable garden? The cuisine of Italy celebrates the vegetable! Join us for this cooking demo of three classic Italian veggie dishes using peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, and eggplant. All three scrumptiously savory and easy to make.
Paulette Licitra is both a chef and writer. She teaches cooking classes and food literature workshops. Paulette completed her professional culinary studies at Institute of Culinary Education in NYC. She was Chef at Rustico Cooking in New York, cooked in Mario Batali’s restaurant Lupa, and her catering company Chez Paulette specialized in appetizer parties for private and corporate events. Paulette has traveled extensively in Italy for culinary research, and studied with home cooks in Lazio, Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Piemonte, Campania, and the Veneto. Paulette is the publisher of the food journal Alimentum-The Literature of Food.

Join local food and farming advocate and activist Jennifer Hagan-Dier for an information session and interactive discussion about the power of the fork and how our food choices really do make a difference in our health, our environment and our economy. Learn the top 10 items you should eat organic and those that don’t have to be, as well as explore 10 simple things you can do to change the world every day.
Jennifer Hagan-Dier is the Assistant Commissioner of the TN Department of Revenue by day, but spends her free time working to promote local farmers, farmers’ market, seasonal produce and the benefits of buying local. Jennifer is the co-founder and President of the Friends of the Nashville Farmers’ Market; serves as a board member for the Community Food Advocates and Chairperson for the Field of Greens Fund and a Board Member for the new Urban Green Lab.

Shane Kelly is a chef/speaker/teacher of all things real food and received her culinary degree from the Natural Gourmet Institute. She lives in Franklin, Tennessee with her husband Alex and their “puppy” Lucy. Shane recently published her book “Fourteen Days of Eating in a Real Food Way.”

About Jeff – An avid runner, cook, eater and advocate, Jeff Themm has served as the Executive Director of the Nashville Farmers’ Market since 2005. During his time at the Market he has recruited a host of new local and organic farmers to the Market and overseen the construction and now reconstruction of the Market House featuring local restaurants and businesses. Jeff also serves as the President of the Community Food Advocates and is active in a variety of community endeavors.
