Animals & Agriculture
Tiny Acres Farm
Don't miss the Tiny Acres Little Farmer Interactive Exhibit located in and around the Agriculture building. Thanks to the Tennessee Farm Bureau, Tiny Acres has become a fun, learning activity for the future farmers in your family. Tiny Acres engages little folks with hands-on experience and garners appreciation of the time and energy that the American farmer puts into bringing food to the family table. After the little ones learn to harvest a crop, they are rewarded with a treat at the end of their journey!
Ag Magic Show
This show is an entertaining way to educate kids on what crops farmers grow and raise in Tennessee. The Ag Magic Show is dedicated to creating a positive image of the American Farmer. The program engages children and parents to help make the magic happen and test their agricultural knowledge.

Tennessee HO Model Railroad Exhibit
Be sure to see the gigantic HO scale (1:87 ratio) model railroad exhibit in the Exhibitors Building. We've made a bunch of new additions since last year! Sponsored by the Cumberland Division, Southeastern Region of the National Model Railroad Association and Tennessee Central Ry Museum, the exhibit will have several trains running at all times, including freight and passenger trains. Many locomotives, both steam and diesel, are sound-equipped for a more realistic experience. The model railroad includes a circus with animated midway rides, two large freight yards, and a modern digital command control system that allows for independent operation of each locomotive. Equipment representing past and present Middle Tennessee railroads will be operating every day of the fair.
Karaoke Contest
Think you should be the next American Idol? We might not be able to get you in front of Simon, but the Tennessee State Fair Karaoke Competition is a great place to start! Every night during the fair from 8-10pm we will be hosting a karaoke competition. Two winners will be selected each night to continue on to the winners’ round held Sunday, September 20th from 7-8pm. Registration for both the nightly and winners’ rounds will be held an hour before the designated start time. Come on out and belt it out!

Health & Wellness
Pedometer Challenge!
Take part in the 2010 Tennessee State Fair Pedometer Challenge! Humana and Nationwide are teaming up to sponsor this year’s main health and wellness initiative event. Our goal with the Health and Wellness Initiative is to calculate the average mileage walked at the fair on any given day. We will then multiply this calculated average (thanks to your strides!) by total fair attendance to get total mileage walked throughout the entire duration of the fair! We are making “strides” toward better health and only you can help raise awareness! To participate, come by the Health & Wellness tent by the entrance and pick up a pedometer from one of the volunteers.
